Beaver Borough Council approves $288,213.70 payment to paving contractor; advertises draft 2026 budget

The motion to issue the payment was made by Councilmember Whitney Learn-Conjeski and seconded by Roberta Good; the voice vote passed unanimously. Council also voted, on a motion by Amy Stettler seconded by Learn-Conjeski, to authorize advertisement of the draft 2026 General Fund budget for adoption at the Dec. 9 council meeting. That motion also passed by unanimous voice vote.
Why it matters: the paving payment completes contractor compensation for the 2025 road project and records the intergovernmental reimbursements; advertising the budget begins the public adoption process and sets a Dec. 9 deadline for final approval. If the budget is adopted Dec. 9, staff indicated the Dec. 23 work session will be canceled.
