The Monticello Community School District Board of Education on Monday approved routine business for the 2025–26 year, including the district fee schedule, substitute pay rates and a $24,272 purchase of middle-school staff computers.
The actions, taken during the May 19 regular meeting, passed by roll-call votes with Board Members Tony Amsler, President Craig Stadtmueller and Mark Rieken voting aye. "Motion by Amsler, seconded by Rieken to approve the 2025-2026 Fee Schedule as presented," the minutes record. Similar motions approved substitute pay and the Apple computer quote.
The approvals were framed as routine district operations: Amsler moved and Rieken seconded the motions, and the board recorded no negative votes. The computer purchase was presented as a single-vendor quote from Apple in the amount of $24,272 for middle school staff computers.
The board also approved the first reading of multiple policies, including #503.14 Student Use of Personal Electronic Devices and a set of student records and Title I parent engagement policies, to be reviewed annually. The minutes list policy regulation and exhibit numbers included in the first reading.
Board members did not debate or amend the measures on the record; the minutes show the items were approved "as presented." The consent agenda was approved at the same meeting.
The board adjourned at 7:13 p.m.; the district's next scheduled work session is June 11 and the next board meeting is June 23.
