The motion to proceed with the next design phase, moved by Director Amsler and seconded by Director Schlarmann, passed unanimously.
Board members asked for alternate bid options for the gym as part of the design and bidding process. Jaeger thanked Katie Harms for her work on the project, saying she had helped "move the new elementary project forward." The district did not specify construction cost estimates in the meeting minutes; the board authorized continuing design and preparing procurement options for future board approval.
The board will receive further updates as designs are finalized and as bid documents, including gym alternates, are prepared.
