The Mount Vernon City Council on Feb. 10 approved a pay application and a change order for the 2024 pool-improvement project.
Council approved Pay Application #5 for the 2024 pool improvements in the amount of $17,907.50. The motion to approve was made by Council member Tuerler and seconded by Council member West; the motion carried and Council member Engel was noted as absent.
Council also approved Change Order #6 for the pool project, in the amount of $35,118.53. The change order funds installation of a sump pit to dewater the area around the deep-end basin after contractor Woodruff was unable to seal that portion of the basin because groundwater continued to permeate through cracks. Council member West moved the approval and Council member Rose seconded; the motion carried with Engel absent.
Together the two approvals authorize $53,026.03 in additional contractor payments or change-order work on the pool project as recorded in the minutes. The meeting adjourned at 5:08 p.m.
