Mount Vernon — The City Council entered a closed session under Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(i) at 7:18 p.m. on Feb. 3 to evaluate the professional competency of an individual when requested by that individual. The council reconvened to open session at 7:34 p.m. and then moved to approve an employee agreement and release described in closed session; the motion to approve the agreement was made by Councilmember Tuerler and seconded by Councilmember West.
