Red Hook steering committee approves minutes, plans drop-in workshop and Apple Blossom Day outreach

Julia Solomon, chair of the steering committee, said the committee will use an Apple Blossom Day display to promote the upcoming workshop and to begin making the plan’s vision and goals visible to the community. The committee discussed holding Workshop #2 as a drop-in, expo-style event of roughly four hours, scheduled between Apple Blossom Day and Memorial Day to maximize accessibility, and considered several venue, day and time options.
Committee members noted that a digital survey version of the workshop will be made available after the in-person event to broaden participation. The committee also recorded personnel updates: the Town Board appointed Christine Kane to the committee, and Tricia Reed resigned because she is moving out of town.
Eric Pierson of Pattern for Progress is continuing outreach with town committees to solicit input, and the committee expects he will provide draft visions and goals for review by April 14 and will join Julia Solomon in presenting an update to the Town Board that day. The committee set its next meeting for April 28, 7:30–9:00 p.m., with agenda items including review of the draft visions and goals and updates on Apple Blossom Day and Workshop #2.
