Zoning Administrator Timothy Maday reported March 5 that farm stands became more common in 2025 and that the City of Zeeland currently has no ordinance governing them. Commissioners asked staff to gather examples and feedback from surrounding municipalities on how they regulate farm stands and to report findings back to the Commission.
The directive is exploratory: commissioners did not draft an ordinance at this meeting but asked staff to compile examples and policy options. The meeting adjourned at 6:24 p.m.
