Zeeland Zoning Board re-elects officers, approves past minutes

At its Feb. 17 meeting, the Zeeland Zoning Board of Appeals re‑elected its previously seated officers — Chair Scott Bartolomei, Vice Chair Dave Stegink and Secretary Linda Mergener — approved minutes from Aug. 8, 2023 and June 25, 2024, and formally excused two absent members.
The City of Zeeland Zoning Board of Appeals re‑elected its previously seated officers and approved two sets of past meeting minutes at its Feb. 17, 2026 meeting.
Board member Linda Mergener moved to excuse absent Board Members Scott Bartolomei and Lara Kovacs; Board member Dave Stegink supported the motion, which carried unanimously by voice vote. Zoning Administrator Timothy Maday noted this was the Board’s first meeting of the year and that officers must be elected for calendar year 2026.
City Attorney Jim Donkersloot conducted the annual election. Motion 2026.01, moved by Board member Linda Mergener and supported by Board member Rebecca Perkins, re‑elected the previously chosen officers: Chair Scott Bartolomei, Vice Chair Dave Stegink and Secretary Linda Mergener. The roll call for the motion recorded ayes from Mergener, Paul DeBoer, Stegink, Perkins and Kevin Streeter; there were no nays and the motion was approved.
The Board then approved minutes from the Aug. 8, 2023 meeting, a motion moved by Mergener and supported by Stegink, with all voting aye. The Board also approved minutes from the June 25, 2024 meeting on a motion moved by Stegink and supported by Mergener; all voted aye.
The Board adjourned at 7:03 p.m. after a motion by Mergener and support from Kevin Streeter that carried by voice vote.
