The Scott County Board of Supervisors approved seven consent agenda items at its April 23 meeting, moving multiple routine but substantive administrative actions forward.
Supervisor Dickson moved and Supervisor Beck seconded the consent agenda; the motion passed unanimously. Items approved included plans and specifications for a bridge replacement project on 35th Avenue (Project L-822--73-82) and a local letting date of May 12, 2026; five-year, labor-only security electronics agreements with Securitas Technology for the Jail ($75,000) and the YJRC ($45,000); a five-year AED inspection agreement with ThinkSafe for $3,741.78; and ratification of terms for a five-year labor agreement with Chauffeurs, Teamsters, and Helpers, Local 238 covering July 1, 2026–June 30, 2028.
The Board also authorized application for a Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant through the Iowa Attorney General's Office, Crime Victim Assistance Division on behalf of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and authorized the Chair to accept funding and sign related paperwork if the grant is awarded. The Board set a public hearing for an amendment to the FY26 budget on May 21, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. and approved warrants numbered 346731 through 347059 for payment totaling $1,669,254.57.
