The Scott County Board of Supervisors voted April 23 to accept the base bid and alternates for the Paul Revere Square Treasurer’s Project and to authorize contract execution and associated purchases.
Supervisor Dickson moved and Supervisor Beck seconded the construction contract award to Swanson Construction Company for the base bid of $1,813,000. The board approved bid alternate 1 for a fire alarm system at $33,000 and bid alternate 2 for an elevator at $148,000. Roll call on the construction award recorded four ayes with Supervisor Paustian voting nay. The Director of Facility & Support Services was authorized to execute contract documents on behalf of the board.
The board separately approved a purchase of HVAC equipment from TRANE for $107,288 (resolution 71-2026) and the purchase and installation of furniture from Paragon Interiors for $107,133.38 (resolution 72-2026). Both purchases were approved by roll call with the same voting pattern: four ayes and one nay from Supervisor Paustian.
These resolutions take effect immediately, and the Director of Facility & Support Services is authorized to sign related purchase and contract documents. The actions fund building updates for the Paul Revere Square Treasurer’s Project and move the procurement and pre-construction steps forward.
