Scott County approves multi‑million dollar contracts and purchases in consent agenda

The board voted to award a Hot Mix Asphalt maintenance patching contract to CDMI Concrete Contractors for an estimated total cost of $377,780.50, with the final amount to be based on measured field quantities. The board also approved a building control proposal from TRANE for $689,165.00 and accepted Tri‑City Electric’s base bid of $219,890.00 plus Alternate #1 for $67,050.00 for Courthouse systems work. A change order for Bill Bruce Builders related to sleeping room ceiling modifications at the Youth Justice and Rehabilitation Center was approved for $837,005.40.
County officials authorized two Tyler Technologies contracts: jail management software in an amount not to exceed $1,113,771.00 and enterprise permitting and licensing software not to exceed $1,014,280.00. MEDIC EMS of Scott County was authorized to purchase 580 Curaplex® Stop The Bleed® Basic Kits from Bound Tree with a total cost not to exceed $32,474.20, funded by a regional authority grant.
The consent agenda also included several property tax suspensions and abatements, approval of warrants and electronic payments (total warrants listed as $1,310,924.48, EFT payments $3,604.86 and purchase card transactions $152,670.73), and routine tobacco license renewals. Motions to approve the consent items were moved and seconded and carried by roll call with 'All Ayes.'
The board directed the County Engineer and relevant department directors to execute contract documents where required. The resolutions approving these items include references (74‑2026 through 84‑2026) that formalize award authority and financing notes.
Looking ahead, contract execution and final contract amounts for unit‑price work will depend on actual field measurements and project completion documents.
