The Scott County Board of Supervisors on March 12 approved a 3.5% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for non‑represented county employees and adopted a set of FY2027 salaries for elected officials.
Resolution 36-2026 directs a 3.5% increase to salary ranges for the county’s non‑represented group and related schedule adjustments for certain schedule Z positions; the change is effective July 1, 2026. Supervisor Paustian moved the resolution and Supervisor Bribriesco seconded; the meeting minutes record the vote as "All Ayes."
Separately the Board adopted a series of resolutions setting elected-official pay for FY2027. Resolution 37-2026 set Board member pay at $46,145 and the Chair at $49,145 (roll call: all ayes). Resolution 38-2026 set the Auditor, Recorder and Treasurer annual salaries at $104,859 each; the minutes record the roll call as four ayes with Supervisor Paustian voting no. Resolution 39-2026 adopted the Sheriff’s salary at $176,520 and approved related deputy pay scales (recorded as unanimous). Resolution 40-2026 set the County Attorney salary at $180,229 and the First Assistant Attorney at $153,195; that vote passed on a roll call of four ayes with Supervisor Bribriesco voting no. Before the County Attorney vote, Supervisor Bribriesco reviewed concerns she had about the civil division of the County Attorney’s Office and its response to FOIA requests.
Board action was procedural and expressed in formal resolutions; the record includes the salary figures and the roll-call votes but does not include additional budget impact details in the motion language. The Board’s action makes the COLA and the FY2027 pay schedules effective July 1, 2026.
