Eric updated the council on the LRC, a recreation and community facility operated in partnership with the city and NCC College, and delivered usage statistics and programming highlights.
"Last year we had more than 9,400 day passes when people didn't have a membership," Eric said, and added that members scanned into the facility more than "27,000 admittances" over the same period. He described youth and adult leagues, regional tournaments that attract hundreds of spectators, and private rentals for events such as birthday parties.
Council members asked about capacity and plans to grow community participation; Eric said the center is exploring membership options and programming to increase local participation while balancing space used for tournaments and rentals. The council thanked him for the update and acknowledged the partnership between the city and NCC College as a community asset.
