Shelby City Council approves FY 2025-26 budget amendment and awards utility and sidewalk contracts

The council then approved two Schraeder bids for directional boring to bury electrical lines in the amounts of $67,241.00 and $24,417.00. The motion to accept the Schraeder bids was made by Councilmember Todd Frank and seconded by Councilmember Karen Schlueter; it passed on a unanimous roll call.
Councilmembers also accepted a Pauley Landscape LLC bid of $9,700.00 to install a new sidewalk and ADA domes at 105 Center Street, a property noted in the record as belonging to resident Clark Price. Under the City Sidewalk/Cost Share Program, the city will pay 50% of the $9,700.00 contract; the remainder will be paid by the resident or assessed at a 4% interest rate, per the motion (moved by Frank, seconded by Schlueter).
