The Roxbury Wetlands Commission on Sept. 10 approved a series of routine and contested agenda items and continued a scheduled public hearing for a separate application.
The commission approved minutes from prior meetings (with some members abstaining because they had not received materials). It approved the construction of a three‑bedroom single‑family dwelling at 10 Old Lane as a non‑regulated activity after a site walk by commissioners.
At 32 Apple Lane commissioners debated an island removal and wildlife timing but ultimately approved the work as a maintenance activity, adding a condition that the work be completed by the end of October (Halloween) because of wildlife and seasonal concerns; the motion carried.
A final site plan for Baker Road was reviewed and approved after commissioners confirmed wetland flags on the plan and found the proposed house location would not affect wetlands. During that discussion the motion’s classification was amended from non‑regulated to regulated activity prior to approval.
Finally, the commission moved to continue the public hearing for BA WE LLC at 65 Mon Bridge Road to an undetermined date (members discussed tentative dates in October, including Oct. 22); the motion passed and staff was asked to republish and confirm the rescheduled hearing.
The meeting closed with a brief chair’s report directing staff and commissioners to review proposed regulatory updates and fee schedules ahead of a future public hearing.
