The Waukesha Board of Public Works on March 6 approved routine payments, moved several bid recommendations and received project updates.
On Item 4a the Board approved payments as presented following a motion and second and a unanimous voice vote.
Under Item 7A staff reported five bids were opened for a concrete pavement patching and sawing project and recommended the low bid from Wandell Contractors in the amount of $681,597.50. The Board moved and seconded the recommendation and approved it by voice vote.
Under Item 7B staff recommended awarding the West Sunset Drive and Oakdale Drive traffic-signal improvement project to Zenith Tech with a low bid of $393,889.30; the Board voted to approve that recommendation.
In reports staff said garbage-cart delivery was ongoing (about 60% delivered as of the prior Tuesday), that carts pickup transitions are planned around March 31, and that bids will open on March 14 for the 2025 asphalt street-resurfacing project, the Area 7 flood-mitigation project and the Clean Water Plant Phase 3 improvements.
