The Waukesha City Water Utility Commission awarded a unit-price contract totaling $1,924,337.68 (including a 1% city administration fee) to support the utility portion of the city’s 2025 Asphalt Street resurfacing and utility improvements program.
Kelly told commissioners the work covered about 6,500 linear feet of water main and that the bid came in under the $2,850,000 budgeted sum: “We came in under budget even with the 1%,” Kelly said, noting more competitive unit prices than in the previous year and active contractor interest.
Staff said the same contractor had bid both relevant city projects, explaining identical pricing in the table presented to the commission. The motion passed unanimously.
