The Waukesha City Water Utility Commission voted to approve a 9-foot easement along parts of the Crestwood Well Booster Station property (Well No. 9) to allow Energies to complete cable-replacement work at no cost to the utility.
Kelly, a utility staff member, described the easement and said legal review found no concerns: “He doesn’t have any problems with it,” Kelly said of the city attorney’s review, and added the work “will not impact our current or future operations.” Kelly also said Energies is responsible for any tree, shrub or grass restoration.
One commissioner announced an abstention citing participation in the project work group; the abstention was recorded before the motion passed.
The commission recorded the approval with one abstention and no further conditions.
