Middlebury schedules Middlebury 250 exhibits, Flag Day parade and June 27 dedication

Marr announced that a Flag Day vehicle parade will take place Sunday, June 14, beginning at 1 p.m. from the fire department and finishing at Shepherd's Inn with an ice cream social and children's activities. The parade substitutes for the canceled Memorial Day parade; Park & Rec funds originally allotted to the parade will be repurposed for the Flag Day celebration.
The board approved a proclamation recognizing June 27, 2026 as Rochambeau Memorial Day in Middlebury; Marr noted landscaping and statue arrival dates and a dedication ceremony planned for June 27.
The Middlebury 250 committee is also exploring a sponsored‑flag program (details to be finalized) and encouraged residents to visit the display and consider sponsoring flags for telephone poles.
