Sharon board appoints SSRRA alternate, names two fire investigators and approves tax refund

The board appointed Thomas Bartram as Sharon's voting alternate to SSRRA through Jan. 14, 2027; appointed Robert E. At its Jan. 13 meeting the Sharon Board of Selectmen approved a set of routine appointments and an administrative refund.
Thomas Bartram: The board reappointed Thomas Bartram as Sharon’s voting alternate on the Salisbury-based SSRRA through Jan. 14, 2027; Bartram indicated willingness to serve another year.
Fire-investigator appointments: Fire Marshal Stanley MacMillan requested that two local firefighters who completed the State of Connecticut fire-investigation class (including the Youth Fire Setter Course) be appointed as town Fire Investigators to assist in investigations and to cover in his absence. The board appointed Robert E. Carberry and Elizabeth Klippel to those roles.
Tax refund: The Tax Collector submitted a real-estate tax refund request for Christopher Armero in the amount of $1,947.31. The board approved the refund.
Minutes corrections: The board approved corrections to the Jan. 8, 2026 minutes, including the corrected spelling of Matthew Goclowski and a note that Lynn Kearcher installed four Hydrilla signs at the State boat launch that the State removed.
Votes and procedure: Motions to approve these items were made by John Brett and seconded by Lynn Kearcher and were recorded in the minutes as passing "with all in favor."
