Milford Board approves plans for Jonathan Law technical‑education classroom and child learning center

The Milford Board of Education voted to approve plans, specifications and estimates for a technical‑education classroom and child learning center improvement project at Jonathan Law High School, state project number 084‑0217 E/A.

"These plans and specs and estimates go into a very deep review at the permanent schools facilities building committee and they have approved all of the plan specs and estimates already," a district representative said, adding the district expects to secure a contractor and begin some work later in the summer.

"Correct," the architect said when asked to confirm that the garage work is for auto‑mechanics instruction.

Motion and vote: Megan Doyle read the motion that "the Milford Board of Education approved the plans, specifications, and estimates for the technical education classroom and child learning center improvement project at Jonathan Law High School, state project number 084‑0217 E/A." The motion was seconded by Hannah Tedros and was announced by the chair as carrying unanimously after a voice vote. District staff thanked Silver Petraelli representatives Amanda Cleveland and David Stein, who left the meeting after the vote.
