The Village of Sanford council on Feb. 10 approved a contract with the Midland County Drain Commission for MEDC-CDBD-DR storm-sewer work intended to cover drain replacement in special-assessment areas around Lynn and Crescent streets. Council recorded that the Storm Sewer Grant will fund the drain replacement so those costs will not fall to homeowners in the affected special-assessment areas.
Separately, Spicer completed a land survey for the proposed Pump Track site. The council authorized payment of up to $900 to Spicer to prepare a legal description for the surveyed parcel; the motion passed unanimously. The Pump Track representatives (Debbie Augustine and Pat Billingsley) were given Spicer’s contact and told staff would provide account-balance details by email.
The council also noted that no quotes were received to assist with broader updates to planning documents; the Village will await a proposal from Spicer before the March meeting. The Planning Commission is scheduled to meet March 4 to consider potential amendments to zoning and building policies related to these projects.
