Board members expressed concern that the project begin before Columbus Day because traffic remains heavy through the fall season; the Board requested that NHDOT revise the schedule so that major lane closures occur after Columbus Day and provide a detailed timeline and closure plan. Department of Public Works Director Jason Rucker reviewed detour planning with the Board and agreed a detailed timeline should be submitted.
NHDOT agreed to return to the Board with a plan showing the details and timeline for road closures, detours and traffic control so the town can weigh impacts on seasonal traffic and local access. No formal vote was taken.
