Rangely town manager begins operational review, announces R.A.R.E. grant pitch competition dates

Jordan also announced the R.A.R.E. grant pitch competition intended to help local businesses. He said mandatory preparatory classes will be held Aug. 7–8, applications are due Aug. 17, and the first round of pitches will take place on Aug. 27. "If you know anybody who might qualify for that, just spread the word around," Jordan said, noting that a youth track is separate and that event information is posted on the town’s Facebook page.
Councilors asked for clarification about the youth program and where applications would be accepted; Jordan said chamber contact information and the Auto Museum will be primary points of contact and that the town is encouraging local participation.
