Sustainable BC Committee sets recycling and river events, seeks volunteers

The committee also said it will resume the Children's Water Festival in person at KCC for fourth‑ and fifth‑grade students, tentatively between May 10 and the end of the school year, and discussed inviting homeschool groups.
Ryan Brinkey and other members described volunteer opportunities tied to youth paddling and onshore events beginning in July and continuing through August; the committee will circulate sign‑up links and schedules by email.
Housekeeping items announced at the meeting: the committee approved April 27 minutes (motion moved by Kiana and seconded by Paige; Chair declared unanimous approval) and agreed to move future meetings to a 1:00 p.m. start time to improve attendance.
