The council approved a contract with Grant Works for grant management services related to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds the city received. The contract amount was not to exceed $48,500 and covers consultation, project management, reporting and ancillary compliance work.
Staff said the city received $976,964.69 in ARPA funds and reviewed eligible uses under federal rules, including public health response, economic-impact mitigation, revenue replacement and water/sewer/broadband infrastructure. The city solicited bids and recommended Grant Works based on technical familiarity; the contract was revised by the city attorney to include errors-and-omissions coverage as directed by council.
A motion to approve the contract was made by Councilmember Keith Brown, seconded by Councilmember Carl Moerer, and carried 5-0.
