Old Bridge to open renovated Veterans Park tennis court and two pickleball courts June 27

Mayor Debbie Walker announced that Veterans Park in Old Bridge Township will soon reopen renovated tennis facilities, with one tennis court and two dedicated pickleball courts scheduled to open Saturday, June 27 at 7:00 a.m.
"We've been hard at work upgrading Veterans Park with improvements including the renovations of our baseball and softball fields along with significant renovations to the existing tennis courts," Walker said. "Based on feedback from our neighbors and park users, the renovated tennis court has been redesigned to include one tennis court and two dedicated pickleball courts."
Walker said the township also restored and repainted the handball wall and installed new fencing throughout recreational areas. She added that a later phase of the project — paving the Veterans Park parking lot to improve accessibility and convenience — is planned for this fall.
Officials credited the Department of Public Works and the Parks and Recreation Department staff for carrying out the work and said planning is already underway for additional improvements at Cottrell Farm Park, Manino Park, and Giegle Park.
The announcement invites residents to visit Veterans Park for the courts’ opening on Saturday morning and to use the upgraded facilities.
