Michael Fries reviewed a survey completed by Garden & Associates and the property lines of the downtown plaza at the Ad Hoc Klokkenspel Committee meeting on July 16, 2024. He said any change to grade levels will need careful consideration because several adjacent buildings have doorways that open onto the plaza. The committee also reviewed aerial photos of the site.
Committee members approved a final draft of the survey questions. The survey is to be released to the public one week prior to a public input meeting scheduled for Aug. 8, 2024. The meeting began at 1:00 p.m. and adjourned at 1:52 p.m.
Minutes from the June 18, 2024 meeting were recorded as approved during the July 16 session. The committee did not record a formal mover or seconder for that approval in the transcript.
Next steps: the committee will release the survey as scheduled and hold the public input meeting on Aug. 8 to gather community feedback on plaza design and any proposed grade adjustments.
