Trust hears update on regional housing services contract and grant application for space needs assessment

On grants, staff said the Trust submitted a grant application to the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities through the Community One Stop portal on June 3 for a space needs assessment (the applicant estimated roughly $150,000 but did not give an exact figure). Members agreed Butler Ave, a town-owned parcel, was appropriate to include in the study; they asked staff to invite the town engineer to the next meeting to report on the site’s status and to identify how the Trust could support a 100% affordable development if an opportunity arises.
No formal vote was taken on either the contract renewal (which was described as approved administratively) or the grant application; staff will report back on grant outcomes and the town engineer’s update at the next meeting.
