Operations Manager Shane Willis summarized Premier Lakes’ one-time work order and a revised Bentley Electric estimate that would add roughly 125 feet of electrical work to move the 240-volt aerator in Lake E1‑C farther from the originally proposed location. The board discussed deferring the relocation and instead installing a temporary zombie box at the existing site to manage cost impacts and revisit relocation in the Fiscal Year 2026 budget discussions.
Chair Bob Schultz moved the motion to install the zombie box and Robert Twombly seconded it. The motion carried with Schultz, Twombly and Keith Merrill voting in favor and Terry Mountford and Kurt Blumenthal dissenting. The approved cost for the zombie box is $3,098. The board noted the relocation proposal—totaling $10,755—may be reconsidered during next year’s budget process.
The decision balances an immediate, lower-cost operational fix against a more permanent relocation that would require additional electrical work and budget capacity.
