The River Ridge Community Development District Board unanimously appointed resident Keith Merrill to the vacant Seat 1 (term expires November 2026) at its Oct. 22 regular meeting.
Chair Bob Schultz nominated Merrill; the motion was seconded by Robert Twombly and carried "with all in favor," after which Mrs. Adams, acting as a Notary of the State of Florida, administered the Oath of Office. District Counsel Tony Pires and Mrs. Adams then reviewed ethics and Sunshine Law materials, including Form 1 and Form 8B disclosure requirements and public records obligations.
The Board also adopted Resolution 2025-01, which the Board approved on Mr. Blumenthal’s motion and Mr. Mountford’s second. The Resolution nominated Bob Schultz as Chair, Terry Mountford as Vice Chair, Kurt Blumenthal and Robert Twombly as Assistant Secretaries, and added Keith Merrill as an Assistant Secretary; the Resolution removed James Gilman from his officer listing.
No dissent was recorded on the appointment or the resolution. The Board’s actions were taken during the regular meeting called to order at 1:00 p.m.; Mrs. Adams and District Counsel provided members with guidance on ethics training and filing obligations following the oath.
