Berlin Board appoints Devin Constant as McGee assistant principal

The Berlin Board of Education voted unanimously July 22 to appoint Devin Constant as assistant principal at Katherine M. McGee School, effective Aug. 19, 2024.
The motion to appoint was made by Tracy and seconded by Gina; the board approved the appointment by a 6-0 vote. Board members noted they had recently interviewed Constant as part of the selection process.
Addressing the board after the vote, Constant introduced family members in attendance and thanked the panel of interviewers, including Brian S. He said he appreciated the extensive search process and that his top priority will be "building relationships with students families and staff is a priority." He added that he looks forward to becoming "an active member" of the Berlin school community.
The board welcomed Constant and said they look forward to his start in the district on Aug. 19. No further personnel actions were taken publicly at the meeting.
