Robert Stacy, the district’s executive director of human resources, told the Windsor Locks Board of Education on April 24 that the district has requested admission to the State Partnership Plan (SPP) for employee health and prescription coverage.
"Open Enrollment for Board employees will take place May 5 thru 21," Stacy said, adding that the move follows memorandums of understanding executed with all Board of Education bargaining units and acceptance by the State Comptroller’s Office. Stacy said dental coverage will remain self-insured with Anthem and that the town’s interim finance director must complete the dental renewal; once executed, Anthem will issue new membership cards. He said an initial planning meeting with an insurance consultant was held April 10 and that the enrollment window allows time for members to receive cards before July 1.
