Board hears update on five-year strategic planning process

Superintendent Shawn Parkhurst updated the board on the district's strategic planning process at the Sept. 29 special meeting.
Parkhurst said three work teams are active: Student Performance, Climate & Culture, and Facilities & Operations. Facilitators for each team meet monthly with the superintendent, and Parkhurst and Dr. Bissonnette have prepared slide decks for administrators to review the process at October faculty meetings. The superintendent said the district will produce a five-year strategic plan; each school will create an annual building improvement plan derived from that five-year framework.
The update was informational. Board members will review materials and the plan will be revisited at the Oct. 9 meeting.
