The Windsor Locks School District has been awarded a $250,000 planning grant from the Community Investment Fund to refine plans for a track and football field at Windsor Locks High School, Superintendent Shawn Parkhurst told the board Sept. 29.
Parkhurst said the grant will fund planning and development work so the district can better position itself for the next round of construction funding. He said he will coordinate project refinement with KBA and the First Selectman.
The announcement was informational; the minutes do not record a formal vote or funding authorization for construction. The board will receive further updates as planning proceeds and as grant opportunities are pursued.
