Board approves minutes, rescinds bullying policy and adjourns special meeting

The Windsor Locks Board of Education approved minutes from its Sept. 11 and Sept. 15 meetings, voted unanimously to rescind policy 5131.911 on bullying and adjourned a Sept. 29 special meeting at 6:42 p.m.
Chairwoman Kylee Christianson called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. and roll call showed four members present. A motion by Board Member Lindsay Cutler, seconded by Board Member Greg Guyette, approved the Sept. 11 and Sept. 15 minutes; the motions passed unanimously.
During a review of district policies, administrators identified several policies for further consideration. The board voted to rescind policy 5131.911 (Bullying), which the minutes note was replaced earlier by policy 5144.12 (Challenging Behavior Prevention) on Aug. 21, 2025. The rescission motion was made by Board Member Alba Osorio and seconded by Board Member Lindsay Cutler; members voted unanimously to approve the rescission.
Before adjournment a motion to end the meeting was made by Board Member Greg Guyette and seconded by Board Member Alba Osorio; the motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
The board listed its next regular meeting for Oct. 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
