The Waterford Board of Education took several formal actions during the meeting, approving routine items and ratifying a negotiated contract with district administrators.
The board approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from the Dec. 19 regular meeting, the monthly expenditure report for December 2024 and the December food service financial report.
In new business the board voted to set the 2025–26 tuition rate for K–8 partner districts (districts without secondary grades whose students attend Waterford High for grades 9–12) at $3,363 per student; board members clarified the scope of the tuition motion during discussion and then approved the motion.
The board also voted to approve representative and committee assignments for January–December 2025. Trustees were reminded that committee meetings are intended for committee members only to avoid creating a de facto forum of the whole board.
After an executive session to discuss negotiations, the board moved to ratify and approve an agreement between the Waterford Board of Education and the Waterford Administrators and Supervisors Association covering July 1, 2025–June 30, 2028. Board members expressed appreciation for the negotiating teams. The transcript records that motions passed; no roll‑call tallies or named yes/no votes were recorded in the public transcript.
