Britt council approves contracts, appointments and wage, pays one month of COBRA for new clerk

The Britt City Council on June 2 unanimously approved a bundle of administrative and personnel measures, including a $19,828 contract to replace two doors at the fire department and a one-month payment of COBRA for the newly introduced city clerk, Diane Price.
The actions were taken in short succession after routine roll call and department reports. Noland Stewart moved to award Stromer Overhead Door the contract to replace two fire-department doors for $19,828; James Thompson seconded and the motion passed with all ayes. The council then approved the appointment of James Thompson to the Britt Golf Course Board on a motion from Todd Romer, seconded by Noland Stewart.
The council set a public hearing on budget amendments for June 16 at 6:00 PM after a motion by Todd Romer, seconded by Noland Stewart. It also discussed and adopted Resolution 09-2026 to name bank signatures for the city (motion by Noland Stewart, second by Todd Hildman; votes recorded as Hildman aye, Stewart aye, Romer aye, Thompson aye).
