Pleasantville city staff presented Pay Application #10 for Vanderpool Construction covering work on W. Pleasant Street and the Hwy 5 improvements during the July 16 council meeting. The council approved the payment of $65,805.17.
City Engineer Jordan Stoermer told the council the current request was smaller than the next expected application and that remaining items, including an HMA overlay and seal coat, had not yet been completed. Stoermer said a final walkthrough with Public Works Director Shawn Breazeale and invited DOT representatives would be scheduled for the following week.
Motion to approve Pay App #10 was made by Aaron Hurt and seconded by Kyle Patterson; the motion carried. Stoermer also noted a RISE grant submission and anticipated a fourth claim at the end of the project for approximately $100,000.
The council did not amend the contract terms during the meeting; staff and contractor follow-ups were scheduled to address outstanding items.
