Town to replace Chicago Hill beach stairs; commission issues Positive 5 and Negative 3 determinations

Kieran Healy, a land surveyor with BSC Group representing the Town of Dennis, presented a plan to replace the existing walkover stairs and the picket snow fence at 200 Scargo Hill Road. He said the stairs and fence would be rebuilt in their current locations with a slightly adjusted stair profile to provide more clearance underneath.
"The fence will be replaced in its current location, and the stairs will be located in their current location," Healy said, noting only minor profile changes to increase clearance beneath the structure.
Commissioners asked questions about vegetation and plantings; staff and members noted no additional vegetation work was required for the proposal. After brief discussion the commission moved to close the hearing and to issue a Positive 5 determination (area subject to review) and a Negative 3 determination (within buffer zone and will not alter area), and the motions passed.
The commission thanked the presenter and closed the matter with the determinations signed or prepared for signature.
