At 10:30 a.m. the Carbon County Commissioners approved the consent agenda, which included the Commissioners' Proceedings dated March 10, 2026; Commissioners Closed Proceedings dated March 5, 2026; Motor Vehicle Recycling and Disposal Reports; and a purchase request for Wildland Safety Training in the amount of $3,300. Commissioner Bill Bullock moved to approve the consent agenda; Commissioner Scott Miller seconded and the motion carried. Administrative Officer Angela Newell clarified that burn permit revenues would be used to cover the county's cost of the Wildland Safety Training.
Earlier, at 10:00 a.m., Deputy County Attorney Shannon Foley had joined online and the board voted to close the meeting to discuss litigation strategy. Commissioner Scott Miller moved to close the meeting for that purpose; Commissioner Bill Bullock seconded and the motion carried. The minutes record that the closed session occurred but do not include details of the litigation discussion in keeping with closed-session procedure.
