Cullman City Council honors Grayson Gay as Alabama Public Television Young Hero

The Cullman City Council adopted a resolution recognizing Grayson Gay, a student at Cullman High School, for being named an Alabama Public Television Young Hero.
Council President Kim Hall invited Grayson and his guidance counselor, Miss Dutton, forward and read a resolution noting Gay's academic achievements, community involvement and his recovery from stage 3 Hodgkin's lymphoma. The resolution cited his leadership and a fundraiser that raised more than $6,000 for Children's Hospital of Alabama.
"Grayson continues serving others through community involvement and leadership," Hall said while presenting the resolution. The council offered its congratulations and extended appreciation for Gay's service to other students and Cullman County residents.
The recognition was recorded as a formal resolution; no further action was required.
