Bozrah Board unanimously fills Planning & Zoning seats, appoints two to recreation commission

The Bozrah Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a slate of commission appointments at its May 19 meeting, moving to shore up vacancies on the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission and the Recreation Commission.

First Selectman Glenn Pianka and the two selectmen present approved motions to reassign and reappoint members to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The board moved Steven Seder from a regular position to an alternate seat for the term 05/31/26–05/31/29, elevated Dan Tracy from alternate to a regular seat for the term 05/01/26–05/01/29, and reappointed Manuel Misarski, Steven Coit and Nancy Taylor for terms 06/30/26–06/30/29. The minutes note that J. Stephen Gural declined re-appointment.

Under a separate motion the board appointed George Hajj and Jenna Hajj to fill unexpired terms on the Recreation Commission (terms running 05/21/24–05/21/27). The board recorded that an alternate vacancy on the recreation commission remains open.

Motions were moved and seconded as recorded in the minutes, and each motion carried unanimously. The appointments were treated as routine personnel and committee business; no dissenting remarks or amendments are recorded in the meeting minutes.
