County Attorney Spencer Allred responded on the record that such a resolution carries no legal force; he described it as a symbolic statement of support and said he would review the draft if the board wished to sign it.
Commissioners did not adopt a final resolution during the meeting; Allred’s clarification that the resolution would be symbolic was recorded in the minutes.
