The Olds City Council approved its Jan. 14 consent agenda and authorized payment of bills totaling $21,872.24.
Sheila Tharp moved to approve the agenda, meeting minutes (with a correction to note Timothy Breuer left before a prior vote) and a list of vendor payments; Councilmember Theresa Willey seconded. The motion carried with four ayes and one abstention. The minutes reflect that Tim Faller abstained from the vote.
The clerk reported total receipts for November 2025 of City Funds $10,482.66; Water Funds $8,118.56; and Sewer Funds $3,271.02. The council reviewed vendor invoices and payroll presented for the Water, City and Sewer funds. Notable line items included Municipal Supply ($3,850.00) and Rathbun Regional Water Association ($2,016.00) in the Water Fund; Taghon Tree Care tree trimming ($3,250.00), WEMIGA garbage collection ($1,861.50) and Olds Fire Department fire protection ($680.00) in the City Fund; and BES Water Solutions trailer rental ($1,500.00) and State Hygienic Lab lagoon testing ($228.50) in the Sewer Fund.
Councilmember Jason Waterhouse and other members confirmed routine fund reconciliations and approved the bills as presented. No members of the public spoke during Citizen Forum.
The council scheduled its next regular meeting for Feb. 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Olds City Hall.
