Ogden council approves consent agenda, first reading for RAGBRAI permits and property transfer; one councilmember abstains

In routine business the council approved minutes, the Treasurer's Report for April 2026, vendor claims, alcohol and tobacco permits, multiple building permits, a tax abatement for 615 NW 7th Street, Amendment No. 01 to the professional services agreement with 10Fold Architecture, and resolutions on employee wage adjustments and volunteer first responder compensation. The consent motion was made by Councilman Brian Reimers and seconded by Councilwoman Lori Anderson; the minutes record the vote as "Ayes: All Present."
Following a public hearing on a proposed property sale, the council approved Resolution No. 202605-607 to transfer lots 16 and 17 in the J.H. Noyes Addition to Michael and Lori Anderson. The motion (moved by Councilman Denny Good, seconded by Councilman Brian Reimers) carried with Councilmen Aaron Crane, Brian Reimers and Denny Good recorded as voting yes; Councilwoman Lori Anderson recorded an abstention.
Council members also approved the first reading of Ordinance No. 288, which would add a new chapter to the city code requiring permits for activities during RAGBRAI on July 21, 2026. The first-reading vote is recorded in the minutes as "Ayes: All Present." The ordinance will proceed through the council's ordinance process.
Council approved publishing a Request for Proposals for purchase and development of four city-owned parcels near W. Division, South First and SW Fourth Streets; the motion was made by Councilman Aaron Crane and seconded by Councilman Denny Good and recorded as carried.
The meeting concluded after announcements and member comments; the council adjourned at 7:01 p.m.
