The Wales Public Library minutes record completed building improvements and active programming: the Tantasqua Electrical Department replaced most lights in the library, repaired interior and exterior outlets and added a stair light; trustees recorded their thanks to Tantasqua. The minutes note this work excluded the director's office and the supply closet.
On programming, volunteers and the Friends group are running several activities: Adrineh Derbidian will facilitate bi-weekly crafts and Storytime; the Friends group plans three drop-in crafts during the school vacation week; the "Sweets for the Sweet" cookie-decorating event on Feb. 7 was full; and the first Kids Advisory Board (about eight children) convened on Feb. 3 and shared ideas. Trustees also noted an upcoming wool needle-felting program on Feb. 28 at noon and a Friends fundraiser scheduled for March 19 (Carolyn Boehne is available to attend; Kara is not).
