Wales Council on Aging adopts dated sign-in sheet and quorum rule for meeting approvals

At its Feb. 9, 2026 meeting, the Town of Wales Council on Aging voted to require a dated sign-in sheet for meeting verification and set a practice that a majority of attending members — three people — must be present to hold and approve a meeting.
The minutes state "Members voted to approve meeting minutes by signing a new sign-in sheet showing the date of the meeting held and minutes to be approved. A majority of those that attend the meeting (3) will need to be present in order to approve and hold meeting also." The minutes record that members signed the sign-in sheet for verification.
The minutes also record approval of the council’s minutes dated Dec. 15, 2025; the entry notes "(ANALIA, DENNIS 2ND ALL MEMBERS APPROVED AND SIGNED AGREEMENT STATEMENT IN PERSON)," indicating Analia moved, Dennis seconded and all members present approved and signed.
The meeting was called to order at 9:33 a.m. and adjourned at 11:45 a.m.; the adjournment line records Lynn moved to adjourn, Dennis seconded, and all approved.
