Councilmember Nelson moved to approve Resolution 25-08, the city’s annual budget for FY2025–26; Councilmember Fassler seconded. The motion passed with all members present voting in favor. The council then approved Resolution 25-10, authorizing the private placement and issuance of a $520,000 General Obligation Fire Station Note, Series 2025, and the levy of taxes to repay it, following a motion from Nelson and a second from Bruce. That motion also passed unanimously.
Council also approved Resolution 25-09, disposing of an interest in real estate owned by the city at 132 and 136 Main Street. Nelson moved and Bruce seconded the resolution; all members voted aye.
The council opened and closed the public hearings for the budget and real-estate sale during the meeting; motions to open and subsequently close both hearings were carried by recorded roll calls. The meeting record lists bills payable, clerk and treasurer reports, and March revenues and disbursements presented as part of the session’s financial reporting.
