Church trustee asks committee to consider straightening property line and adding curbside parking

Borglund said the church would be willing to pull the granite curb back to the formal property line, which might allow two to three new parallel parking spaces including handicap stalls, and that DPW initially indicated it would address a problematic driveway apron but that the general contractor later said it would perform the apron work. He said the trustees were not seeking to increase the project scope or cost but wished to take advantage of the current construction disturbance to address the boundary issue.
Committee members asked for Borglund's drawing and confirmed they would present the matter to the Board of Trustees and the full Library Building Committee for further discussion; no vote or directive was taken at the meeting.
Borglund closed by thanking the committee and saying he would "listen and I'll take advantage of the beautiful day," and the committee said staff would follow up with trustees at the next appropriate meeting.
